The classes are based on the release technique, but strongly spiced by Magdalena’s own movement research and professional experience in contemporary dance field. The classes are physical and the emphasis is on body alignment, usage of momentum and spatial awareness. The workshop fascilitates dynamic changes, moves through vertical and floor work, builds technique and physical sovereignty of the dancer.
Biography
Magdalena Reiter, Polish choreographer, dancer and pedagogue, currently living and working in Slovenia. Graduated from the National Ballet School in Gdańsk and PARTS (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) in Brussels. As a dancerand performer she worked with numerous choreographers. She choreographed numorous performances, some independently, some in the frame of institutions like Polish Dance Theatre - Poznan Ballet. She works as a choreographer on opera and theatre productions in Slovenia and abroad. Her piece «Forma interrogativa« was awarded (by international jury) the best performance of the festival (Slovene dance festival, Moving Cake 2005), the performance »Moment« got the jury prize at the 8th Teaterfest in Sarajevo. As a pedagogue she worked in Ljubljana, SEAD-Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, in Avignon, Gent, Gdansk, ect. She is the iniciator and artistic director of VIBRA workshops.
