The mysterious, undercover project BUKA VS RAANE opens the door to a lo-fi hip-hop underground with distant links to old school hip-hop and dub, jungle, trap and noise. The muffled voices lead us into the urban nervousness and pulsating anxiety, the Ljubljana underground that lurks in the quiet tape hiss and noise of this backstreet mixtape. A sound cloud echoing from the backstreets and bouncing off the graphited walls, lazily winding its way through the dense smokiness. We are caught in a resistance of noise, rhythmic beats and deep bass that oscillate, shake and pulse between past and present. Still hardcore! KlonArt, Cancel ... Buka vs Raane are the shadows that "shun" from behind the back of local hip hop.
