At the 7th edition of Gibanica, Biennial of Slovenian Contemporary Dance Art held between 18-21 February in Ljubljana, three productions by Emanat were presented (more about the selection and the programme follow the link): Barbara Kanc: Searchings Untitled, Irena Tomažin: The Taste of Silence Always Resonates and Maja Delak: What If.
At the festival closure award for the best performance by a choice of international jury and by audience were given. Both went to Irena Tomažin's The Taste of Silence Always Resonates. Three members of the jury were: Yvonna Kreuzmannova from Chech Republic, Jana Jevtović from Serbia and Paula Caspão from Portugal.
At the festival closure eight awards by Slovene Contemporary Dance Association were bewstowed by a three-member jury (Pia Brezavšček, Blaž Lukan, Sabina Potočki):
Mateja Bučar (lifetime achievement), Andreja Rauch Podrzavnik (choreographer/authors), Jurij Konjar (dancer/performer),
Collective of dance pedagogues of Secondary Preschool Education & Gymnasium Ljubljana - Contemporary dance programme (SVŠGL): Maja Delak, Mojca Dimec, Nina Fajdiga, Andreja Kopač, Vita Osojnik, Sinja Ožbolt, Špela Repar Lomovšek, Petra Pikalo, Dušan Teropšič, Nataša Tovirac, Tina Valentan, Urška Vohar and the school headmaster mr. Alojz Pluško (dance pedagogue), Tomaž Grom (sound design), Petra Hazabent (producer), Luka Curk (light design), Jasmina Založnik (critic/theorist/dramaturg).
