About

In the second part of the project, Pia Mačerol collaborates with director Bor Ravbar. Their focus is on the theme of reproductive labor, explored through the role, function, use, and meaning of household appliances in relation to women and men, as well as through the perspective of a child’s gaze. This perspective is examined through cartoons such as Teletubbies, where one of the central characters—alongside the Teletubbies—is the vacuum cleaner named Noughty Noo-Noo.

From cleaning, watching, consuming, misery, and the boredom of everyday automated routines to red stains on a white shirt—this world is very dirty. Who is responsible for cleaning it? Each person in front of their own doorstep, or all of us together in front of a shared one?

Pia Mačerol (2000) is a creator, dancer, performer, and researcher of the body’s sound–breath–movement capacities. In her authored works, she operates within an in-between, specifically undefined space, where—through a rhythmically non-rhythmic pulse—she questions internal and external worlds that continuously move in multiple directions at once. In 2025, she graduated as a dance artist from ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands. Prior to this, she studied in the Swedish NEFCD program and at the Secondary School for Preschool Education, Gymnasium and Arts Gymnasium Ljubljana, specializing in contemporary dance. In December 2025, she presented her performative research at Cankarjev dom, developed within Emanat’s Exquisite Corps project. Her work has been presented at various festivals and performance venues in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain.

Bor Ravbar (2000), after completing his education at the Secondary School for Preschool Education, Gymnasium and Arts Gymnasium Ljubljana, graduated in theatre directing from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television. For his production Bambina, he received the Best Director Award at the Zlatolaska student awards. He was a member of the editorial board of Akademijski list, a professional student publication in theatre and film. He collaborates extensively with artists of his generation in various roles—lighting designer, mentor, director, and assistant director. Following his studies, he directed several productions, including Girls (Nina Kuclar Stiković), Dreamers or a Love Story in Revolution, Where Do We Live, and And Many Others....
